Duathlon/Triathlon Bike Rack Rental
We have a total of 12 event bike racks systems available for rent and charge $8 per rack, per event. Availability of racks varies depending on what other events we have using the racks at the time. The person renting the racks is responsible for pick up and return of the racks. Because of this, most rental is local. We are located in Melbourne, Florida.
These racks are a highly versatile, portable, and sturdy racking system. Bicycles can be racked by the saddle or handlebars. This system is easily transported, stored, and assembled. The sturdy racks are lightweight and designed so that the legs of the rack fit inside the main beam. This allows for ease in transport and storage. No tools are needed for assembly at the event site. Whether it is a triathlon, duathlon, other multisport event, bike shop display, bike valet service, bike check, special event, temporary bike parking, or triathlon transition practice, the Triathlon Bike Rack is a great solution to your racking needs.
How many bikes can each rack fit?
The basic guideline is that legs can handle the weight of 6 racing bikes and 2 mountain/hybrid/cruiser bikes, for a total of 8 bikes (this is a rough average of bikes in a triathlon). Many customers choose to rack less bikes than the capacity of the rack, in order to give more room to athletes in a transition area. Note: if you exclusively rack mountain/hybrid/cruiser bikes, the legs are limited to the capacity of 6 bikes total.
On what kind of surfaces can the racks be used?
The design of these racks allow for them to be used on the following surfaces: dirt, grass, gravel, asphalt, and rough concrete. Because of the need for the legs to have a surface in which to bite, the racks are not designed to be used on a smooth surface. Painted concrete, smoothly screeded concrete, tile, smooth rock, wet surfaces, or other slick surfaces are not ideal.
The racks are designed to be utilized on level ground and not to be used on ground that is of significant slope.
We also time races and often include racks in the package of a timing contract. Contact us for more details on timing and management of your next event.
